Celebrations erupted at the V&A Waterfront over the weekend as Table Mountain was named a New 7 Wonder of Nature following a three year battle in the race to choose the world’s seven most wonderful natural sites. Table Mountain competed with 27 other natural wonders to secure an accolade as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, with other contenders such as the Dead Sea in the Palestine, the Grand Canyon in the USA and Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro. Every year before Christmas we experience a rise in traffic fines (without receipt, paid on the spot) issued to some of our guests for alleged speeding or not stopping at a stop sign. A table gets shown about the hight of the fine and payment is requested.

PLEASE NOTE:
You are not required to pay your fine on the spot! If you don’t get a receipt, it will go into the cop’s pocket straight away. Ask for a receipt, tell them you don’t have money on you. You can pay the fine afterwards (or the car hire company will debit your credit card should you not pay)
